Buying Casio Exilim EX-FH20 9.1MP Digital Camera 20x Optical Zoom 1000 FPS

I've tested SLRs, DSLRs, even point and shoot cameras, and nothing compares to speed and picture quality of Casio Exilim EX-FH20. It can shoot HD video as well. Excellent for fast photography. No need to wait seconds for the next shot. It's ready as soon as you click the shutter release.Get more detail about Casio Exilim EX-FH20 9.1MP Digital Camera 20x Optical Zoom 1000 FPS.

Buy Nikon D60 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera Black Gold Special Edition with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens

I've had High end Nikon 35mm cameras for 25 years, so when I wanted to step up from the small digital point and shoots it was a natural choice. One of the nice things I found when I started using this digital camera was that I could go manual and set shutter speed or aperture the way I had with the 35's.

I've had the D60 now for 6 months and have taken over 3,000 photos. Out of those I've had very few that were bad.

The 18-55mm lens in the kit is a fine lens. You will out grow in time, but it is very usable to the new d60 owner.

I will have to say that there are so many setting on the d60 that you can change, I had to pickup and extra book to figure them all out. I would recomend buying this book to help with all the things your new d60 can do. Purchase Pentax *istDL 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera with DA 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL Digital SLR Lens

The picture quality is excellent once I got the parameters down to where I wanted them. Very easy to use and to learn. Most cameras start at 10MP or higher, but this one is 6MP. The picture quality indicates that pixel count tends to be overrated. At 6MP you can get professional quality photos at 8 X 10 or even larger without any significant loss of quality. Pentax makes great cameras, and I would recommend their products to anyone.Get more detail about Pentax *istDL 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera with DA 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 AL Digital SLR Lens.

Order Canon Digital Rebel XT 8MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only - Silver)

I have had this camera for over five (5) years and I absolutely love it. I have never had any problems with this camera and it has performed amazingly. I have taken around 50,000 pictures with my Rebel and it is still going strong. I have the same original batteries that I got with my camera. My batteries have always lasted a long time before needing to be recharged; when I shot sports I could use one battery for roughly the whole day. Canon products are very high quality, which is what you can expect with brand name Japanese electronics. The Canon lenses are also fantastic; I have owned the high-quality standard 50/1.4, the portrait 85/1.8, the mid telephoto 70-200/4.0, the amazing 100/2.8 macro, and the wide-angle 17-40 L. These are all fantastic lenses to put on your Rebel, and you can rest assured that there is a whole range of Canon products to suit your needs. The only downside to these products is that they are quite expensive.

As far as the Rebel, the only complaints I have are these:

1. The amount of noise at 1600 ISO makes these pictures generally unusable.
2. The AF system is not robust enough for sports; you can do it but it's hard.
3. The grip, somewhat small, can take getting used to.
4. The camera can't take too many RAW or high quality JPEG pictures in succession (important for sports).

In general this camera is a dream for most peoples uses. Eight MP will give you high-quality prints. Unless you want to blow up your pictures to poster size this camera will be great for you.

Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera Body + 8GB Memory Card + Nikon EN-EL3e Battery + Case + Cameta Bonus Accessory Kit

This is a very nice mid-level camera. I did a side by side test of the Nikon D90 & the Cannon XSi. Even though there was some evidence that the XSi might have produced better color I chose the D90 in the end. The Nikon had a much higher quality feel. It was constructed of more metal rather than plastic for the Cannon. It seemed to be better balanced (center of gravity) and the most common buttons seemed to be more ergonomically positioned. The user menus seemed to be more intuitive and typically had more options than the Cannon.Get more detail about Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera Body + 8GB Memory Card + Nikon EN-EL3e Battery + Case + Cameta Bonus Accessory Kit.

Pentax *ist DS 6.1MP Digital Camera with Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL Digital SLR Lens Review

I already had a K20D (which was my first dSLR) when I came up on this one in the used market for an excellent deal. I bought it primarily for two reason, for its TTL compatibility and as a second, walk-around camera body.

After updating the camera with the latest firmware, I mated it with a used Pentax-FA 28-70mm f4 and Pentax-DA 50-200 f4-5.6 (excellent Pentax lenses that offer awesome value for the money, btw) as a back-up walk-around system. This setup follows me most places and contributes to about 70% of what I shoot.

For a camera without SR (Shake Reduction), this camera does a superb job, and I have a lot of keepers to prove it. Among the other things I love about this camera is its powerful pop-up flash and compatibility with AA (I use Sanyo Eneloops) batteries.

For the money (in the used market), I think the Pentax *ist DS offers one of the best values among dSLRs.Get more detail about Pentax *ist DS 6.1MP Digital Camera with Pentax DA 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL Digital SLR Lens.

This is my 28th digital camera and I love it. I had the Canon SXI for a short while and it was good but did not impress me. This SLR does impress me. Nikon D70S 6.1MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-70mm Nikkor Lens Immediately

So I've owned my Nikon D70s now for over 2 years and it is a great camera. I use to own a Nikon D50 which I passed along to my younger sibling after purchasing the Nikon D70s body from a local photographer who upgraded to the Nikon D3 after its release. This camera was kept in pristine shape and shoots like a dream. The Nikon controls are easy to me but I am familiar with them from the D50. The D70s offers a few more controls than the D50 but the picture quality is still the same. The other difference is it uses the CF card compared to the SD card the D50 uses. So be aware of that. If you do not have CF cards, you'll need to buy more. Oh, also the D70s uses the DX lenses along with the regular Nikon lenses unlike the D40, D40x and D60 which can only use the DX lenses. So, if you have or are able to get a hold of some older Nikon Nikkor lenses, you should be good to use them on this body.

This camera fits large in hand so if you're a bigger guy with bigger hands (or woman :-)) you will like the feel of this camera as it gives you full control of the hold. The built in pop-up flash is excellent. Manual controls are great too. You can easily switch from Manual to Automatic with the flip switch next to the lens on the front of the camera.

I've use this camera to take many Macro and Scenic pics at different gardens around the country. I've added some sample images here. The shots by CXG are mine. As I travel, I always make an excuse to get out and shoot and this camera lets you do that with ease. Battery life is really really good. On a full charge, I can take up to just over 600 snaps before the battery just dies. Yes, 600 pictures.

Nikon got it right with this camera. I am not a "super-pro" photographer but I have shot weddings and events with this camera and have done very well financially with the images this camera has produced. And people love the images taken with this camera.

Please "DO NOT" worry about megapixels when it comes to DSLR or digital cameras for that matter. 6.1 is more than enough. I have blown up pictures without any noise (Noise is the grainy look in picturs) up to 30x20 and they look fabulous at the 6.1 MP setting. [...] Ken is a Nikon guy so, just be aware of that. Pentax K200D 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with Shake Reduction (Body Only) Get it now!

I was upgrading from a Sony point and shoot digital camera. Before the Sony, I had a Minolta SLR film camera way back when. I wanted to get back into a SLR. I would not have considered the Pentax K200D except for the fact that Consumer Reports rated this a best buy. I had also looked at the Canon Xsi and the Nikon D60. They seems flimsy compared to the Pentax. I liked the fact that the K200D has in camera stabilization instead of in the lenses and a dust proof weather resistant body. Pentax seems to have very high quality lens. The Canon and Nikon I believe both have live view which I did not care for.

I've had the camera for a month and have been very pleased with it. It's easy to use, menus are intuitive. Some people thought the camera was a bit heavy but I have not found that to be an issue at all - feels solid in my small hands.

The batteries that came with the camera (Energizer Lithiums) only last about 500 shots so I am trying some rechargeables (many people suggest using the Enelops).

I bought the camera in December and then learned it was no longer being made. Did that change my decision? No, I am still happy I made the purchase. I did not like the newer models because most of them have video which I am not interested in.

All in all very pleased with purchase!
