Low Price Pentax K2000 - Digital camera - SLR - 10.2 Mpix - body only - supported memory: SD, SDHC

Great camera I've been shooting for 8 years and this is my first DSLR. It's superior to any of the compacts I've owned recently. I bought a 28mm-100mm sigma lens and it's crystal clear pics are fantastic. It's very fast I can snap 5 pictures in the time my old camera processed one.
It's easy enough my wife can use it with no problems. The features are great too you can change the photo into B & W, Sepia, watercolor, pastel, high contrast, soft focus and save the results on the camera. I would recommend to any photographer looking for a first DSLR. I only wish the body was not plastic and was weather proofed.Get more detail about Pentax K2000 - Digital camera - SLR - 10.2 Mpix - body only - supported memory: SD, SDHC.

Discount Nikon D40X 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX and 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens

The D40x has been discontinued, but it's still a worthy DSLR and should be considered by anyone who's looking for an inexpensive entry level camera or for a small backup camera. The big difference with the D60, I believe, is mostly just the self cleaning mode. The difference in price is at least 100 dollars.

As others have noted, ignore the excessive brand new price mentioned here.

I use my D40x as my portable camera that I take with me when I don't want to risk damaging or losing my D90. I've been considering buying something like a Canon G11, a large size point and shoot. The G11 isn't really a pocket camera either. While the G11 has lots of great auto features, it still can't match the manual controls of a DSLR and I'm fairly certain that the D40x can beat it in terms of noise and ISO usability. I've taken night shots with the D40x at 800 ISO that came out great.

I wouldn't recommend the D40x to anyone who's looking for the best entry level DSLR. Given its age and functionality, I think it's pretty much limited to those on a really tight budget or those looking for an inexpensive back up. When you compare the manual controls and the ISO capability compared to P&S backups like the G11, it makes the D40x a good choice.Get more detail about Nikon D40X 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX and 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lens.

Cheap Nikon D70S Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-70mm and 55-200mm Nikkor Lenses

So I've owned my Nikon D70s now for over 2 years and it is a great camera. I use to own a Nikon D50 which I passed along to my younger sibling after purchasing the Nikon D70s body from a local photographer who upgraded to the Nikon D3 after its release. This camera was kept in pristine shape and shoots like a dream. The Nikon controls are easy to me but I am familiar with them from the D50. The D70s offers a few more controls than the D50 but the picture quality is still the same. The other difference is it uses the CF card compared to the SD card the D50 uses. So be aware of that. If you do not have CF cards, you'll need to buy more. Oh, also the D70s uses the DX lenses along with the regular Nikon lenses unlike the D40, D40x and D60 which can only use the DX lenses. So, if you have or are able to get a hold of some older Nikon Nikkor lenses, you should be good to use them on this body.

This camera fits large in hand so if you're a bigger guy with bigger hands (or woman :-)) you will like the feel of this camera as it gives you full control of the hold. The built in pop-up flash is excellent. Manual controls are great too. You can easily switch from Manual to Automatic with the flip switch next to the lens on the front of the camera.

I've use this camera to take many Macro and Scenic pics at different gardens around the country. I've added some sample images here. The shots by CXG are mine. As I travel, I always make an excuse to get out and shoot and this camera lets you do that with ease. Battery life is really really good. On a full charge, I can take up to just over 600 snaps before the battery just dies. Yes, 600 pictures.

Nikon got it right with this camera. I am not a "super-pro" photographer but I have shot weddings and events with this camera and have done very well financially with the images this camera has produced. And people love the images taken with this camera.

Please "DO NOT" worry about megapixels when it comes to DSLR or digital cameras for that matter. 6.1 is more than enough. I have blown up pictures without any noise (Noise is the grainy look in picturs) up to 30x20 and they look fabulous at the 6.1 MP setting. [...] Ken is a Nikon guy so, just be aware of that. Buy Leica DIGILUX 3 7.5MP Digital SLR Camera with Leica D 14-50mm f/2.8-3.5 ASPH Lens with Optical Image Stabilization

Hmmm,

'
AMAZON, I dont get it. How can a Leica digital camera, ( the Digilux 3) that I bought a year ago go from $1,200 go to $3999.????? It has good ratings, but not great. It is not a collectors item. I think it is not a bad camera for 7.5 MP but my Nikon D-90, new at the same price,is the same price new, and much better, I say that mindfully as I love Leicas.. well... you'd expect a bit more from a Leica.

But the main thing is, how could you let it be sold less that a year ago for $1200, then jack it up to $4000.? It's interesting, I sent it back for a repair, and they decided to refund my money, not repair it. ( very simple repair) They said there were no more being made/available. I guess they wanted to sell mine instead.

I"D BE VERY CAREFUL ABOUT BUYING IT FOR $4000.!Get more detail about Leica DIGILUX 3 7.5MP Digital SLR Camera with Leica D 14-50mm f/2.8-3.5 ASPH Lens with Optical Image Stabilization.

Order Nikon D80 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens

I got this camera on Ebay with a lens for around $600 bucks - I really wanted the D90 but didn't have the cash. I'm really happy with the quality of the photos from this camera. The portability is great, and it allows me to start building a collection of nikon lenses until I can upgrade. If you're looking for a solid camera on a budget i recommend this one.Get more detail about Nikon D80 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera Kit with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX VR Nikkor Zoom Lens.

Where To Buy Pentax K20D 14.6MP Digital SLR Camera with Shake Reduction and 16-45mm f/4.0 ED AL Zoom Lens

As a long term user of Minolta 35mm SLR's when I decided to move up to digital I first checked out the Sony product line.
After reading numerous reviews and handling a couple of Sony DSLR's I wasn't impressed with the build quality or quality of available lenses. So, I settled on a Pentax K20D as my digital tool. Having used my K20D complete with a 16-45 F4.0 Pentax lens for a month now I'm completely sold. The build quality is solid, the body feels heavy and fits well in my hand.
Image quality is superb with amazing detail recorded. The 16-45 F4.0 zoom is light, but well made. The lens is also extremely sharp especially when stopped down to F11 or F16. The menu's are easy to navigate and very intuitive.
I'll add an updated review after shooting more situations and in all weather conditions. If you're in the market for a pro spec DSLR priced less than comparable Nikon or Canon products you wont regret purchasing this Pentax.Get more detail about Pentax K20D 14.6MP Digital SLR Camera with Shake Reduction and 16-45mm f/4.0 ED AL Zoom Lens.

Nikon D200 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Nikkor Zoom Lens

I finally made the transition from a Nikon N65 film SLR to the Nikon D200 DSLR 1 year ago before a trip to Hong Kong and China. Beautiful pictures! I still haven't figured out all of settings, but I have gone on many a trips with this beauty and amazed people with the composition and high quality of the pictures I bring back. I loved the fact that my existing Nikor lenses I used for my old film camera worked with this camera as well. The main reason I chose to switch to digital and get the D200 was to be able to photograph spectacular sites around China and blow them up for the walls of our "asian-themed" guest room. It's a project I haven't completed yet, but I can't wait. One of the great things of this camera is the ability to create large scale prints from your digital images, so I hear. If you don't expect to print anything larger than 8 x 10, you probably don't need this much camera...Get more detail about Nikon D200 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera with 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Nikkor Zoom Lens.
