Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Pink/Red) Best Quality

The Canon SD1200 is a good ultra-small camera at the current price of around $150. For people planning to spend $200, there may be better choices from both Canon and Panasonic.

The materials and workmanship on the Canon SD1200 look cheaper than on my older Canon SD1000. The SD1000 looked like a very expensive camera, and the SD1200, up close, looks cheaply made. Looks don't always predict durability...judging by customer comments, it is likely that the two models are about equally reliable.

As with most small Canon cameras, photos taken in the "auto" mode are likely to be adequate, but seldom exceptional in quality. To get the best results with the SD1200, the owners should spend a couple of hours practicing setting exposure levels, ISO levels, and adjusting white balance, contrast, saturation, and sharpness. For most outdoor photos on a sunny day, the best results will come from "locking" the ISO at 100, dropping exposure 1/3 stop, decreasing contrast to the minimum, and increasing sharpness.

With practice, you can change exposure levels or ISO levels in less than five seconds. If a photo looks too bright or too dark, you can simply retake the photo with the exposure level adjusted for the best results. The tiny flash of the SD1200 works best if you "lock" the ISO at 200, and stay three feet to six feet from your primary subject. If you take a flash photo of a group of people sitting twenty feet away, you are likely to get poor results.

Read the complete owners manual, and work through all of the settings page by page. Many folks have, by accident, set their camera for macro focus and are surprised all of their photos are now blurry, or set the camera in a mode that takes tiny one meg sized photos, and are surprised by the photos not being sharp and detailed. A less than excellent photo with this camera will be the result of a mistake by the owner about 99 times out of a hundred.

The folks who complain about not getting sharp photos simply need to practice. To get sharp photos, you should press the shutter down halfway to lock the focus and exposure, hold the camera steady with both hands, and gently push down on the shutter. With practice, most people can get very sharp photos outdoors at shutter speeds as low as 1/15th of a second. The folks who hold their camera with one hand and fail to pre-focus will seldom get sharp photos with ANY small digital camera.

Although the SD1200 will fit into your jeans pocket, it belongs in a padded case. In your pocket, sooner or later you will damage the lens mechanism, and the lens will refuse to open or close. Or you will damage the viewing screen. Keeping the camera in a padded case in your bag or clipped to your built ensures many years of reliable service...and don't forget...never leave a digital camera inside a parked car...the 120 degree summer temperatues will fry its brain.Get more detail about Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Pink/Red).

Canon BCI-6R Red Ink Tank Get it now!

I've tried cheaper inks, and they always clog up the head before they're done. I have never had a problem with the Canon ink. It costs a couple of bucks more, but it's worth it. This is how the printer companies make their money, which is fine by me since the printers are so cheap to begin with. When looking for ink online, interestingly the prices differ by color! For some reason, the Red was cheapest on Amazon, at least on the day I looked.Get more detail about Canon BCI-6R Red Ink Tank.

Lenmar DLC3L Digital Camera Equivalent to the Canon NB-3L Battery Order Now

I bought my Cannon camera about six years ago. Like all my electronics, the first thing I did was buy spare batteries. I bought two of these. My batteries were getting to the point they weren't holding a charge very well so I bought two more. When I got them, I started to cull out the old batteries based on how well they held a charge. The original Cannon brand battery was the first to go. It was not holding a charge as well as the two that I had purchased from Amazon. Thank goodness Amazon keeps records of my old purchase so I was able to get the same exact batteries again.
I use my little Cannon regularly and have taken a LOT of pictures and recharged these batteries many, many times. I can recommend them without reservation.Get more detail about Lenmar DLC3L Digital Camera Equivalent to the Canon NB-3L Battery.

Canon ET-65B Lens Hood for EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 IS and DO IS USM Lenses Right now

The only reason I did not give this product 5 stars is the price. A little expensive for what it is but I have yet to see a knock off with comparable fit and quality of the canon.Get more detail about Canon ET-65B Lens Hood for EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 IS and DO IS USM Lenses.

Lowest Price Canon Selphy CP780 Blue Compact Photo Printer

We recently used this printer for a scrapbook guest book at a wedding. We took pictures of the guests, took out the memory card, inserted it into the photo printer, and was able to print the photos at the wedding for the guests to create a personalized scrapbook page for the bride and groom. The printer was real easy to set up, and required no additional software or a computer to use. Replacing the ink and paper was likewise real easy. It did take about a minute for each picture to print, but the photos looks gorgeous. Definitely recommended.Get more detail about Canon Selphy CP780 Blue Compact Photo Printer.

Save Canon L50 Toner Cartridge

I own a copier that is a few years old. It's nice to see when a company uses the same toner for the older copiers and the newer ones, that way your copier does not become obsolete. This toner was priced way below what the Canon website (and a lot of others)had it listed for. This came in the original sealed box, so for the price it was not refurbished, remanufactured or a compatable. This shipper and the postal service was lightning fast. I'm impressed!Get more detail about Canon L50 Toner Cartridge.

Discount Canon PC 170 Personal Copier

The copier was very easy to set up and works great. I was surprised that the toner cartridge from my older copier also works in the PC 170. Not changing the toner will save money. A very good copier for home use. My previous home copier was also a Cannon and it worked fine for many years, that is why I decided to buy another one.Get more detail about Canon PC 170 Personal Copier.

Cheapest Canon FS200 Flash Memory Camcorder w/41x Advanced Zoom (Misty Silver) - 2009 MODEL

This camera is Useless. I'm not sure where to begin with the six month odyssey I have been through with this THING.

First of all it not even mine. I bought it for my son for Christmas.

Seems to work great, as far as shooting and all goes. Problem is can't get the video off it on to any of our computers. My son has my old G4. What the heck, doesn't work on that. Its a bit disappointing, but I get it. Its an old computer.

So I figure we can download his videos onto my computer, another mac but with dual core intel Processor, 2.66 and 4GB of ram... Not So. cause I had Tiger OS 10.4- according to Canon Tech Support - My computer wouldn't recognize the camera. Live and learn.

A few months pass, My son's used the camera for stills which download just fine. But it is a Video Camera. It'd be nice if he could use it as such. So I called tech support again just to make sure I understood just what we had to do. They said all I had to do was update iMovie HD to iMovie 08 OR 09- That of course meant updating my OS to at least Leopard.

Snow Leopard was on sale, so I got that. Not that I needed a new OS but if it could get the kids camera up and runnin, why not. A new OS is always fun. 129 bucks later, we are finally ready to check out what this baby can do.

Nothing. It does nothing. I have been back and forth with Canon Tech support for days, and hours, done everything they have suggested. Initialize this, Download that, Copy this here, download there. Disconnect everything from your computer. Re boot.

I know I might sound like I am whining. But I have several other camera's, from still (nikon D200) to video (Sony HD) ,even a flip camera or two. None of these camera's have any problem communicating with this or any other computer in this house, regardless of their OS.

After doing everything that tech support asked over the course of a week, I asked them to either replace the camera or give me a refund cause obviously nothing we were doing was going to work.

And here is my real complaint. It's at this point that I felt I was sold a lemon by a shifty used car salesman. They refused to accept that there might be something wrong with their product and we went through a painful rebuke of all my equipment and software, which I had to refute step by step and piece by piece. Gig by Gig. One tech guy even suggested I get a PC.

I have everything required to for this thing to work- It just ain't workin'. This camera is a dud- wether they are all like this or it just this one- I don't know. This camera is not recognized By iMovie 09 and painfully slow to download even just to the desk top.

Whatever this camera is, if you can't get the videos on to your computer, its useless.Get more detail about Canon FS200 Flash Memory Camcorder w/41x Advanced Zoom (Misty Silver) - 2009 MODEL.

Cheap Canon imageCLASS D1120 Laser Multifunction Copier (3478B001AA)

Canon imageCLASS D1120 Laser Multifunction Copier (3478B001AA)
We used older Canon model for about 6 years and were very happy with its performance. Then the top scanner broke, so we looked for a newer model from Canon - it suits perfectly a small private practice. It scans, copies, faxes, interacts with networks, you name it... Now if only more retailers had ink supply, that would be the end of the problems. Yes, the ink is expensive, but check the load -number of copies it can produce! It's worth all of it. So if you're looking for a reliable multitasking office copier, don't go any further. I strongly recommend. Oh, by the way, we're still using the old machine - for printing jobs only.Get more detail about Canon imageCLASS D1120 Laser Multifunction Copier (3478B001AA).
