This poor quality product has not even allowed me to make any prints. The paper feed mechanism is unable to pull the print paper into the machine. The one time it did, it said it was the wrong type of paper, which was not the case. After an hour of fruitless attempts, the ink cartridge (which only has enough ink for 5 prints) ran out of ink. Do not but any Canon products. They are very poor quality!

Where To Buy Canon Powershot A410 3.2MP Digital Camera with 3.2x Optical Zoom

I've had this little Powershot A410 for years. It fits well in my purse or pocket, so it is with me ALWAYS. I also have a Canon Powershot S3IS that is a "more advanced" point and shoot.

Lately I have been getting the bug to upgrade to a DSLR and most likely will in the next month. I have also been looking at small point & shoots to replace the A410.

I have just realized that would be a waste of money. This little camera produces images that are just as good (and sometimes better) than the other Canon or other shots I see taken with expensive cameras.

Twice now this camera has gotten completely soaking wet....and it's fine! Just the other day, I dropped it on some rocks ...hard .... and it's just fine!

I love its portability, ease-of-use and picture quality. It has enough options to control exposure, timings, color temp etc for a amateur photographer. (The 5-star ratings are keeping in mind what I expect from a point-n-shoot camera. Obviously the picture quality is not as good as a SLR.) I have used it extensively and loved every bit of it. Except recently, when it died due to lens error. I guess some particles (sands?) got stuck in the lens system. Now it fails to start. The repairing cost is not justified. I love my new Canon EOS Xsi. With the new SLR, it was curious that the new 3" screen was showing you the camera settings rather than the image you were shooting, like with point and shoot cameras. Only with "Live View" will you see the images on the screen as you photograph. It doesn't matter. Since it's a SLR, you view your shot through the viewfinder, which has elaborate information you can see. Frankly, the screen on point and shoot cameras were impossible to see and you could never tell what you were getting on them anyway. The SLR lets you know exactly what you are getting by looking through the lens that is taking the shot.

I bought this camera a year ago as my starter camera to learn about film photography. I really didn't know anything about photography when I purchased it, and I still have A LOT to learn, however, I feel as though it's a camera that can grow with me. It has automatic presets that make taking photos for a novice handy - not much thought required, but also allows you to set manual settings so you can experiment and learn.

Another review mentioned the body being cheap. I disagree. The body seems fine to me, and to be quite honest, a camera is not something that you should be rough with. Set it down gently and handle it properly as to avoid ruining the lens or some component within the camera.

Still, the case is well made and will protect the lens from dust and will help prevent scratches. The drawstring closure secures the pouch very well, but the leather-like bottom is stiff and can make it more difficult to fit this lens pouch in your camera bag. I have two canon lenses, each of which is stored in these soft lens pouches (one is a different model but has the same design), and I find that I must tip and twist the leather bottoms of the pouches in order to fit them into the padded compartments in my Canon camera bag. I would prefer a more form fitting case for my Canon lenses, and I honestly think that Canon should provide them with their lenses, at no extra cost. After all, Canon is surely making a thick profit on their lenses, given the prices that they demand. Still, the Canon LP1116 Soft Lens Pouch is made well, for what it is, and it is certainly a better than nothing form of protection for your expensive Canon lenses.
