I am very happy with the video camera I order via Amazon.com. What I am most strongly UNHAPPY about it that my order was "subbed out" to Tiger Direct. I had selected "Next Day" shipping with Amazon. When the order was sent to Tiger Direct my choice of shipping was NOT noted. My birthday gift for my husband was not and did not arrive in time. I did email Amazon within 5 minutes of placing the order to request the shipping be changed and was offered NO recouse to correct the shipping request to what I had originally asked for in the first place.

I am a frequent customer with Amazon. This was the first time I was so strongly unhappy with my order. The merchandise was great. The shipping was NOT. What I select as my option with Amazon should stay the same when it's "subbed" out to Tiger direct or any other place without having to change it myself.

I guess it's nice to have an extra one. It would have been nice if the ad for the lens had said one was included. I purchased my Canon Elura 100 mini-dv camcorder in 2007.This little gem has been nothing less than a pleasure to own.I have used it at least weekly and not even one glitch.The controls are easy to use and the auto setting pretty much does it all for you,but you can adjust most everything manually if your a videophile.Indoor low light shooting isn't perfect,but a turning on a couple of lamps makes a huge difference.The only downfall is the battery life isn't the best,I get around 1 1/2 hours on a charge,the spare batteries are pretty cheap now so I have a few extras charged at all times.Unfortunately the location of the battery prohibits large capacity batteries.The "Canon Elura 100" is out of production but it can sometimes be found on the Internet Refurbished for a very good price.Canon usually does a very good job refurbishing their products.




I have to include this little rant.I once made the mistake of purchasing a JVC GRD-90U camcorder,just after the warranty ran out the camcorder started giving me the dreaded "Please Wait,Condensation Operation Paused".I contacted JVC and they were absolutely useless.Come to find out this JVC GRD-90U and many other JVC models were known to have this sensor defect.It is all over the Internet.JVC refused to recall these camcorders and haven't budged since.There were many fixes that people posted but none were permanent.I will NEVER even look at a JVC product again!
