I got a 40D for Christmas in 2008.Great camera.With the 50D it hits 6.3 frames per second which is less than the 40D at 6.5.I got the 50D not long after it came out.Canon really improved some things on the 50D,like the Digic 4 processor,went up 5 megapixels to 15.1,shooting information on the rear LCD and more .I would recommend this camera for amateur to professional.A great camera for the money.Get more detail about Canon EOS-50D 15.1MP Digital SLR Camera With EF-S 17-85mm f/4-5.6 Image Stabilized USM SLR Lens.
