First off: I attach a hood to all of my lenses for protection. From all the hoods I've bought for my Canon lenses this one is certainly the worst. I thought the snapping mechanism would be nice feature but the hood sits loose in its notch (and tough rotates freely on the lens). It's not the most expensive Canon hood and since it provides the desired protection against direct sunlight I have to agree that it serves its purpose but it just doesn't feel as sturdy as the snap in type hood of the 50mm 1.4 USM for example.Get more detail about Canon ET65III Lens Hood for Canon SLR Lens.
